The Bible: We believe the Old and New Testament Scriptures, as originally written by Spirit-controlled men, are inspired by God and without error.
The Triune God: We believe there is one God existing in three persons; The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The Father: We believe God the Father, for whom and by whom all things exist, reigns over all that has been made. He is all powerful, all loving and all wise and all things work together according to his purpose.
The Son: We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary. He, being in very nature God, took on human nature, lived a sinless life, willingly died as a substitute in the place of sinners, and three days later rose securing our eternal redemption. Later he ascended bodily into heaven and serves as our High Priest, advocate and intercessor.
The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father, and God the Son. In relation to the unbelieving world, he restrains evil, convicts the sinner, and bears witness to the truth. In relation to the believer, he is the agent in new birth, he seals, teaches, sanctifies and empowers for service through the giving of spiritual gifts. We believe some spiritual gifts, such as the gift of tongues, prophecy and healing were foundational for the establishment of the church and are no longer necessary after the establishment of the church and the completion of the canon of Scripture.
The Devil: We believe Satan is a supernatural being, who was created perfect and holy by God, but in pride rebelled against God. A host of angels joined Satan in his rebellion and now Satan and his demons actively opposes the plans and purposes of God. Satan’s defeat was secured at the cross and he awaits his day of judgment and eternal punishment.
The Creation: We believe in a literal six-day creation. Man was created in God’s image and every plant and animal was directly created by God to reproduce after their own kind.
The Fall: We believe man was originally created perfect by God, but then voluntarily sinned and is therefore under just condemnation. We believe man is born in total depravity and is incapable of receiving new life apart from the gracious work of the Holy Spirit.
Salvation: We believe salvation is wholly of grace, through the work of the Holy Spirit and is received by faith in Jesus Christ, whose vicarious death for our sins fully satisfied the wrath of God and whose resurrection is the means of our eternal resurrected life. We believe those who are truly born again are eternally kept by God.
The Local Church: We believe the local church is a congregation of baptized believers who are united by their common faith and purpose in submission to God’s Word. We believe in two ordinances; believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that water baptism is to be by immersion following one’s testimony of faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s death to be celebrated regularly until he returns. We hold that the local church is to be self-ruling and is to be led by elders and deacons whose leadership qualifications are clearly defined in Scripture.
The Return of Jesus Christ: We believe in the bodily, personal return of Jesus Christ to establish his Kingdom on earth. We believe he will first come to rapture his church and then after a seven year period of tribulation he will return with his saints for a thousand year reign on earth. We believe in the resurrection of the unbeliever and the believer. The believer will be raised to eternal life and theunbelievers will be resurrected to an everlasting condemnation.
